The Beginning
Our story begins in London England 1940, when Colonel William H Bennett, a Canadian comms specialist serving with British military intelligence in London, receives a telegram.
He and his wife Lillian have decided ,for safety , their twins Will junior and sister Kat, will be sent to Montreal Canada to wait out the war with their only other living relative , their grandmother Anne Bennett.
The Voyage
The children arrive in Liverpool for their departure to Canada aboard the SS Evermere.
Disaster Strikes
The convoy comes under U-Boat attack mid Atlantic, and the SS Evermere is sunk.
Will they both make it ? Can they? A time of loss, heroes and the human spirit.
